Almost Done!

August 13th, 2006

I’ve got a few minor tweaks left to make on the website, but it is mostly complete at this point.  In the next week or so I’ll be finishing up the blog code so that Ryan can start posting on his own page, and I’ll be adding some additional security to the Gallery. Starting sometime next week, you’ll have to be a registered user to view anything other than the thumbnail images in the gallery.  If you’ve tried to write a post and been denied access, it’s either because you haven’t registered yet or I haven’t gotten around to promoting you to “contributor” yet.  Give me a few days to get through all of my e-mail and then try again.

Making some progress!

August 3rd, 2006

Well, I’ve been learning alot about php programming, that’s for sure!  As you can all see, I’ve been making a little progress over the past few days on the site.  Thanks a bunch to Tim for giving me access to the behind-the-scenes code at sfbohica because it made things alot faster.  I’ve still got a bunch of style sheet work to do, and once that’s completed you’ll see all the fonts, menus, and sizes match up alot better.  My gating factor right now is time, as work continues to kick my ass on a daily basis.  I think a week more of working on the site at night will yield some nice results.  Everything with the underlying structure of the site is complete though, so feel free to register, post, comment, and browse through the gallery in the meantime!

Welcome to the new Laudermilch.com!

July 30th, 2006

It’s been a while – ok, it’s been two years -  but Laudermilch.com is up and running again.  I’m using WordPress this time, hoping to get to a fully functional site much quicker by leveraging what Tim learned while building sfbohica.  Within a few days, things should be running smoothly but please be patient.  We’ve got alot of great photos to add to the gallery (once I get that working), and we’ll have alot to blog about as we go forward.
